Construction crews are hard at work at Greenwich replacing the floating boardwalk. In Progress is the assembly of the 700th section of the aquatic boardwalk over Bowley pond. Crews now have 1/3 of the float components installed. Once the remainder of the floats are finished, the crews will begin work on the railing of the boardwalk and repairing any trail damage sustained in the construction.
The trails are expected to reopen by the end of May, but for those wishing to walk in the Greenwich area sooner, the main parking lot and beach access at Greenwich are still open and visitors are welcome to walk along the beach. Please be advised that the domestic animal prohibition for PEI National Park beaches is now in place (effective from April 1st to October 15th) so please refrain from bringing your pets with you!
