It is with great sadness we want to let our home community know that we are moving away. We have enjoyed our time here in St. Peter’s Bay from attending Canada Day events to the Blueberry festivals over the past 6 years. Juliana and I loved meeting so many of our neighbours in fitness classes up at the complex during our first 2 years here. St. Peter’s Bay is a beautiful and welcoming place. It wasn’t long before it felt like home.
I learned a lot of new things here such as what it takes to operate a Zamboni and put in ice at the rink in the late hours of cold winter nights. Having never sat on a board before, I want to credit Jim MacAulay for showing proper meeting protocol. I can’t confess to having been the best student, but I guess you could call me a work in progress.
To sit on a board where new ideas are welcomed and when appropriate pursued into completed projects, has been a wonderful experience. I want to thank the members of the St. Peter’s Area Development Corporation for the effort in making many of the new projects around the community possible. It has opened my eyes to the tremendous possibilities available here on Prince Edward Island when we work together.
This community has also been instrumental in its support for my business with the office space I was able to rent up at the complex. I want to thank Jim MacAulay and Mary Burge along with the Community Council for helping make it possible. Thank you to all the neighbours who supported me in this. From our family to yours we thank you for making us feel at home in this beautiful place! We wish you all the best as you continue to see this community flourish and grow. Good things are coming for St. Peters.
